If y'all don't know me, my name is Maddie. I am a #girlmom to two beautiful, sweet and sour toddlers. They have my whole heart - but also have stole most of my sanity. Their daily antics and meltdowns keep me hopping, and also keep the coffee & wine biz alive and well in this small town. In respect of some privacy on a public blog, I will be referring to my littles as B & Bo.

B made me a momma in 2016. Other than the 14 hour labor and surprise c-section, she has made it so easy. She slept well. She transitioned from boob to bottle to sippy like a pro. Potty trained at age 2. She is 4 going on 14 and she keeps us all in line. Sometimes I get the feeling she is more of an adult than me...to be honest, it doesn't take much to "adult" better than me. With all that sweet perfection there does come a big attitude (she's a bit of a sasshole) - but when you have plans to be a princess when you grow up, you've gotta develop those leadership skills early. And believe me, she's got them. I'm just here to make her PB&J, button the top snap of her footie pajama's and try my best not to dull her sparkle. She's got the rest under control.

Bo is the epitome of a 2nd born. She recently has decided that she wants to be a dragon when she grows up - and basically that sums up who she is as a tiny human. But I will enchant you with a bit more details, because really, she is awesome. Bo came storming into the world in 2017. From 2cm to 10cm in just under an hour, two pushes and she came flopping out kicking and screaming and really hasn't skipped a beat since. She was the sweetest little babe, and I now know I was totally being gaslighted in prep for the hell she would raise in her toddler years. If it was nice, she broke it. If it was anything but paper, she drew all over it with black permanent marker. And don't even get me started on potty training...she's days away from being 3 and I am fairly certain I will be purchasing pull ups for my middle schooler at this rate. BUT she's cute and hilarious and tells me she loves me (while licking my face like a dog...) so at this point we plan to keep her.

As for me, I am just your average 27 year old momma. I spend my days pretending I know what I am doing, while every night I am questioning if I am getting it even remotely right. I feel like I am still trying to raise myself into an adult & God was like "here, have two more humans to make good" - and ever since we have just been spiraling and snuggling and praying for the best. That's pretty much motherhood. Just mess after glorious mess, meltdowns and good night kisses. Filling our days with kitchen dancing and probably too much screen-time. Balancing chaos and peace.

Raise good humans & survive.

Mommahood 101.

So welcome to my blog.

We function solely on coffee. Wine is our friend. Cry-it-out pertains to us in the shower, too.

We're all mad here.

But at the end of the day, if there is all survivors - it's probably fine.

Much love,

-Maddie
